Dr Pedro Gonçalves is the Principal Dentist and Co-Owner of Newholme Clinic, with a particular focus on dental implants, full-mouth rehabilitation, and advanced restorative dentistry.
Graduating with a Master’s Degree in Dentistry in 2008, Pedro has spent over 18 years developing his expertise through extensive postgraduate education and advanced clinical training. Following postgraduate qualifications in Advanced Orthodontics, he developed a passion for oral surgery and implant dentistry, undertaking numerous advanced courses in implantology, bone augmentation, and complex restorative treatment.
Pedro’s clinical practice is dedicated to helping patients with significant tooth wear, failed dental work, missing teeth, or complex dental problems. He is particularly passionate about full-mouth rehabilitation, combining dental implants, restorative dentistry, and aesthetic treatment to restore function, comfort, and confidence in a way that looks completely natural.
His philosophy is simple: “Exceptional dentistry should not only improve how a smile looks, but also how it functions for years to come”. Every treatment plan is carefully tailored to the individual, with a strong emphasis on long-term outcomes, facial aesthetics, and patient well-being.

Outside dentistry, Pedro enjoys spending time with his wife Ana and their two young children. He is also passionate about classic cars, endurance swimming, health and wellbeing, and continually strives to bring the same dedication and pursuit of excellence from his personal interests into his professional life.
