Front of House | Dental Nurse

Amy qualified as a dental nurse in 2011 and joined Newholme Clinic in September 2025.

She works across both reception and dental nursing, so patients may see her welcoming them at the front desk or assisting our clinicians in surgery.

Throughout her career, Amy has taken on a variety of roles, including dental nurse, head nurse, practice manager, receptionist, front-of-house, and administrator, giving her a wealth of experience across many aspects of dental practice.

Amy enjoys the variety her role brings and loves working with both patients and colleagues to ensure everything runs smoothly. Whether she is welcoming patients at reception or assisting in surgery, she is always happy to help and provide a friendly, reassuring experience.

Outside of work, Amy is a huge Green Day fan and loves going to gigs!

My tooth extraction was dealt with professionally and with compassion. I was constantly asked if I was alright and if I was feeling any pain. Everything was explained to me before the procedure and also what I needed to do after the procedure. I am very impressed with the care I received today and indeed the care I have always received especially as I am a very nervous patient when it comes to Dentistry. Pedro is fantastic I used to have a phobia of going to the dentist but he is so kind, patient and gentle and I really don't mind my visits now. Jo is a brilliant hygienist my feel teeth do good after my reqular visit to her.I cannot recommend this dental practice highly enough I wouldn't go anywhere else all the staff are lovely.

Had checkup and hygienist appointments back to back. The surgery itself is a very clean and calm environment, making it easy to relax. Dentist put me at ease and was very quick to check over and give me the okay. Hygienist Dominic was fantastic - kind, calm and has me confident showing my teeth for the first time in years.

A very friendly practice all the staff including reception are very helpful and polite.The new updated refurbishment is very smart and comfortable.The new digital e sign before going to the appointment is a great idea. My daughter had to have her first filling ever. She's neurodivergent and autistic. Louis her dentist was absolutely amazing.. kind, understanding and above all patient. He took his time, stopped whenever she needed and listened to her feelings. He made what could have been a very tricky situation into a positive experience for her. Thank you Newholme. This is a truly welcoming dental practice. The staff are all really friendly and helpful from reception to the dental team. The Clinic is clean and well set out and is a welcoming environment. I saw Jurate Vietrenkiene and she and her assistant were very kind, reassuring and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the clinic and would like to thank all of the staff for making me and my wife feel at ease and in safe hands.

I was greeted by a very personable receptionist and seen on time by the dentist. The dentist conducted his examination of my teeth without causing me any discomfort, unlike previous surgeries where the dentist seemed to take great delight in poking my gums with a sharp implement. My fear of attending the dentist has been reduced following this experience.

As a first time patient at Newholme, i was pleasantly surprised with how nice the interior design was, extremely clean and welcoming. The receptionist on the day 25/02/26 was very helpful and friendly with filling in the online forms. The Dentist and dental nurse were Amazing at making me feel comfortable and at ease (as I am slightly nervous usually).An overall perfect experience and lucky to be a patient here.

I've been to a lot of dentists in my life, and can honestly say thatPedro, Ana and staff are the best. Everybody that I know goes there.If you can get in, then sign up; Ana is off on maternity leave, but thereis a kind and caring lady dentist covering for her.I used to really dread going to the dentist, but not any more.

Does anyone like going to the dentist? Probably not but the dentists here do their best to make that experience as good as possible! The surgery is bright and clean with good reception staff. The dentist that I see is a fantastic man who clearly loves his job and does everything he can to make your appointment less tense and scary. I have had a couple of fillings and a root canal and crown and the work done has been very good.Visit this dentist, feel good about your teeth!

I am petrified of dentists but since going to this surgery I am overcoming my nerves. Both dentists are amazing, patient and kind and though not ever going to enjoy going to dentists the whole team make it bearable. I even get to choose the background music!Would thoroughly recommend!

New owners are Portuguese, so don't get confused with dentists there from the past. I am terrified of dentists, but my teeth were in need of work, I had 2 painlessly removed and some other work all without pain. I have now got my wife going there who also is terrified of dentists but she like me had no pain having the work done. Without a doubt the best dentist I have used.
